Music Ministry: Responsible for providing a varied offering of music that is scriptural, that ministers to the needs of the congregation, and that enhances the preached word. Currently six choirs operate in the ministry: the Children's Choir (ages 3-8), the Youth Choir (ages 8 - 17), the Voices of Praise, the senior Choir, the Male Chorus, and the Mass Choir. The Mass Choir is comprised of members of all other choirs. there is also an instrumental ensemble that renders service for special occasions, usually Resurrection Sunday, Pastor's Anniversary, Church Anniversary, and Homecoming. 
Laymen's League: Laymen's League membership is open to all men of the church. It's purpose and responsibility is to address the spiritual and material needs of the church and the community. One of their key duties is to work with and mentor the young men of Mt. Level Missionary Baptist Church. 
Education & Tutoring: The aim of this ministry is to provide an ongoing program of tutoring and enrichment for school aged youth in the church. Additionally, the committee provides the church with resources and literature to address topical issues, and with materials that bring into focus our heritage as African Americans.
New Members Ministry:To facilitate the retention and development of members when they unite with Mt. Level Missionary Baptist Church. For the initial three months, the committee works closely with each new member.  The committee guides the new member through orientation and transition, helps them find an appropriate Church School Bible Class and finally, encourages them to become active on one of the church committees or ministries
Prison Ministry: Our prison ministries provide spiritual fellowship and the word of God to women in the NC Correctional Center in Raleigh and men in the Guess Road Correctional Center in Durham. The ministry leads the church in holding regular Sunday morning worship services, an annual three night revival, and Thanksgiving fellowship dinner.     
Missionaries: The missionary department addresses the spiritual and material needs of the church and the community. Their duties include home visitation to sick members, visitation to residents in local nursing homes, oversight of the church's food pantry and clothes closet. All ages will find a place in the missionary department. The ministry includes separate units for: the Youth Missionary, the Young Adult Missionary, the Senior Missionary, the Angel Food program. In addition, Mt. Level provides ongoing support to missionary teams in Brazil and Kenya. 
Single Adults: Single adults in the church are invited to unite for spiritual and social fellowship. Recent events have Included a topical class during Bible Church School, a special movie screening and a social outing with another church group.  
Bible Church School: There is a class for every level starting at age three.  Each Sunday morning, small study groups assemble for close study of the bible.  Periodically, there are special topic classes that deal with a contemporary issue. In addition, the Church School operates Children's church for the young worshipers. 
CONDUIT: (Churches ONorthern Durham United In InTentions) ministry - A group of congregations in Northern Durham County, organized in 1988 to focus their ministry on residents of Oxford Manor. In 2001, CONDUIT entered into partnership with the Oxford Manor Achievement School and Family Resource Center. This unique intervention provides a combination of academic and social services to the children and families in the Housing Authority Community Center at Oxford Manor.  Since 1988, CONDUIT has provided volunteers for the after school program, vacation bible school, day camp and special events throughout the year. 
Prayer Chain: The Higher Ground Prayer Team is an intercessory prayer team called by God to pray daily for the people of God.  Prayer petitions and prayer conditions are lifted up to the Lord in response to specific needs and requests.  We regularly meet to study the word of God, unite in prayer, complete prayer walks around our house of worship and community, and conduct All Night Prayer meetings in response to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
