The Marriage Ministry at Mt. Level exists to strengthen and empower marriages into relationships built on the solid foundation of Christ and the word of God for healthy family development.
To equip and provide married and couples engaged to marry with resources such as biblically based teaching, marriage classes and education, marriage mentoring, and counseling referrals to give practical guidance and suggestions to enrich marriages and help renew hurting marriages.
To work towards a goal of revitalizing marriages and keeping them healthy and strong, reflecting God’s plan for loving, committed relationships.
To provide opportunities for couples to connect with other couples of like faith, marital and parenting stages for support and fellowship.
The Marriage Ministry will utilize a strong married couple to serve as teachers and organizational leaders for the ministry. The Mt. Level Marriage Ministry will consist of a Marriage Leadership Team, which is committed to serving the Lord through relevant marriage programs and enrichment events, biblically based and culturally relevant marriage classes, marriage mentoring support and fellowship opportunities. All couples who are married will be invited and welcome to participate in the activities of the Marriage Ministry and engaged couples will be invited and welcome to participate provisionally after consideration of the event and the engaged couple’s suitability for the event.
Specific objectives of the Marriage Ministry will be:
The Marriage Ministry will teach married couples what the Scriptures teach concerning Christian marriage.
Help couples realize that a personal, saving knowledge of and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is the foundational hope for their marriage.
Increase the betterment of marital and family communications through education and encouragement of couples and families to work towards the ideal in relationships as stated in the Scriptures.
Foster fellowship opportunities to increase interpersonal relationships among couples.
Provide tools for couples and families to improve their relationships with each other and with God in Christ Jesus.
